Long form text marking aligns to rubric scales you choose
![]() |
Literatu lets teachers mark extended text answers by student. Each essay may comprise multiple paragraphs. Teachers choose the type of rubric they want to mark against at the time the assessment task is assigned. We refer to this as long form answer marking. Annotations, marking comments and frequently used comments are all quickly added, allowing teachers to give feedback to students, as quickly as possible. The marks allocated, annotations made and comments can be accessed by the student when marking is complete. There is no paper, the gradebook is instantly updated and everyone has a complete history trail for revision and discussion. If allowed, students can re-take the assessment activitiy to try again!
